Assessment

What To Expect

At our intake office, you will meet with staff to discuss your history. You will meet with a trained counselor who will talk with you about your current and past drug and/or alcohol use, your medical history including any current medical and mental health issues you may be facing, your family, your living environment, and your readiness to change.

This in-depth review looks at you as a whole person – where you’ve been, where you are, and where you want to go.

One of the key reasons for this assessment is to determine if we are a good fit for you. Can we meet your needs? Will you benefit from the kind of treatment we provide? If we, and you, determine that CRASH would be beneficial for you, then we will welcome you to one of our three programs – the one that is right for you.

If the assessment reveals for some reason that it would not be a good fit, for example, you need a higher level of care than we can provide or that you do not really need to be in residential treatment and would benefit more from outpatient treatment, then we would provide referrals to programs more appropriate for you. We will not hand you a list and send you on your way – we will help you to find the right fit and make some phone calls to get you there.
