Short Term I

Located in City Heights, Short Term 1 is an intensive residential treatment program for adult men. This facility is centrally located and affords easy access to public transportation.

The focus at Short Term 1 is on individual responsibility for recovery and productive re-entry into the community. Residents participate in individual recovery planning, counseling, group problem-solving exercises, vocational services, alcohol and other drug education, and workshops on relapse prevention. Family night, supervised parent-child visitation, a Father-to-Child group as well as recreational and social activities are also important elements of the program design.

Depending on your individual goals, we can also help you with money management, job preparation, time management, and proper nutrition and meal preparation. As part of a community, you will also be responsible for helping with house chores and, as you progress through the program, may be called upon to support a newcomer to Short Term 1. If you want to work on reuniting with your children, on getting a job, or on going back to school, we can help you to set up a plan to make those things happen. Your treatment is individualized so your goals are our goals. Although we may seem strict at times, everything we do is with care and concern for you.
